My role in our opening
sequence:
As the director of ‘One Two’ I am most certainly proud of
how well it went. Everything went according to plan in terms of production.
However, it wasn’t a walk in the park and was in fact a very tiring process
through out the day.
Trying to achieve the correct shots and angles in order to
make the opening sequence appear as professional as possible was difficult due
to my limited experience but I feel that I have pulled it off effectively. The
tracking and tripod made the shots stable and therefore a high quality
standard. Also, the different angles helped create the insight of the film and
aided the flow of the narrative.
The most problematic scene I encountered was the hand-held
scene of the fight sequence. Gaining the right insight that enabled me to mirror
a boxer’s reaction to a punch.
Overall, the shoot went well due to my good coordination of
crew and some knowledge in the industry.
